Napoleon Fireplace Inserts by Flint Cliffs-Fuego Flame

Fuego Flame offers some of the most fuel efficient fireplaces on the market with an incredibly high heat production. This exceptional efficiency is thanks to the adjustable damper and fireplace design, allowing for proper airflow without any noisy or expensive blowers, creating optimal burning conditions without the use of electricity. This allows Fuego Flame fireplaces to use natural convection to offer up to 250 cfm of heat – the highest heat output on the market, with or without a blower.

The Napoleon Fireplace/Fuego Flame Advantage

Used properly, these units can burn with the damper 95 percent closed, meaning that almost no heat escapes out the chimney, keeping your home toasty and warm. With the ceramic glass doors are closed, smoke emissions are dramatically reduced which helps both to save fuel and make it among the most environmentally friendly wood-burning units worldwide.

All Fuego fireplace products are hand welded using heavy-duty 12-gauge steel, giving them not only great looks, but an impressive quality and longevity. These fireplaces also have a large viewing area and can be configured to burn either gas or wood, depending on your preferences. Direct Vent Fireplace Inserts

If burning wood isn’t for you, then you may enjoy the efficiency and ease of a natural gas insert. Flip a switch, enjoy a fire. That’s the key appeal of a gas fireplace insert. You still enjoy real flames, but without the hassles of burning wood. There’ll be no firewood to stack, no bugs in the house and no ashes to clean out.

Direct vent gas inserts today are heat-producing dynamos that use natural gas to power a steady flame. Napoleon fireplace inserts with direct vent are also extremely efficient! Instead of burning your heated inside air to keep the flames burning bright, it uses outside air to support combustion.

What About Vent-Free Fireplaces?

AAA Timberline is all about safety and as a result we have decided not to sell or install vent-less or vent-free inserts, because in actuality these inserts are not vent-less or vent-free. They are actually venting combustion gases into the living space of your home.

Most all quality manufacturers of fireplace inserts do not sell vent-free gas appliances and many states do allow their sale. Those manufacturers that do make vent-free inserts tell you to only burn them for no longer than 2-3 hours in a 24-hour period for safety reasons. That won’t help you much when you lose your power during a blizzard or thunderstorm.

Gas- and Wood-Burning Fireplace Installation

Our Flint Cliffs-Fuego (FC-F) “Dual Fuel” fireplaces and inserts can be either wood or gas burning. The advantage of these wood burning fireplace units is that they ONLY require 1/3 of the wood compared to the use of a conventional fireplace, it also will provide up to 50,000 BTUs per hour, and return up to 250 cubic feet of heat through the built-in natural convection system that requires no electricity. When the flue is closed up to 95 percent, little or no heat is lost up the chimney.

Chimney Liner Replacement

Chimney liners are a critical part of every chimney, and particularly necessary if you are considering switching from one type of fuel to another. This liner provides extra protection for the interior of the chimney while also preventing poisonous and flammable exhaust gases from migrating through the chimney and into the home.

There are many reasons you may need a new chimney liner system:

  • Your current chimney has no liner
  • Your liner was improperly installed
  • Damage from a chimney fire
  • Improper size for updated or upgraded appliances
  • Switching fuel source from wood to gas

F.A.Q.

Get answers to some of the common questions about fireplaces, wood burning inserts and liners from AAA Timberline.

What is chimney relining? Do all chimneys need liners?

Traditionally, masonry chimneys had clay tiles that covered the inside of the chimney. These tiles were designed to seal the chimney structure and direct all the sparks, heat, gases and particles up and out of the home. The problem is that over time, the tiles crack or break due to weathering, heat and freeze cycles, and other factors. Once the breakdown begins, your chimney can become dangerous to use and can require a new lining. Some older chimneys did not even have the tile liners, so they are a real hazard that needs immediate attention.

Chimneys built before 1940 have a high likelihood that they were built without a clay liner. Every chimney needs a liner of some kind that is designed to fit the needs of the fireplace, stove or furnace that is venting through it.

There are many solutions to relining a chimney, the most popular being a stainless steel liner being installed in the chimney space from top to bottom. This flue can also be insulated to increase efficiency and needs to be fitted properly to the chimney using flexible or rigid flue piping. Contact us to find the right solution for your chimney.

Prefab fireplace Inserts - can they be repaired or replaced?

Many newer homes have a factory-built fireplace that is installed in the wall with a framed wall outside the home that contains the venting system. These fireplaces are usually constructed using galvanized steel and last from 20 to 30 years on average. If you see gaps or cracks in the walls of your firebox area, rust or warped panels, you need to have the system inspected and possibly repaired.

If the prefab fireplace insert has reached its limit for use, we can also install a new fireplace insert that can fit right into the existing space. This does require extensive carpentry work in addition to the new fireplace insert, but it can be done with minimal intrusion to the home in a relatively short amount of time.
